Sinulom Falls in Talakag, Bukidnon

Sinulom Falls is a magnificent natural marvel located on the border of Bukidnon province. This scenic waterfall resembles a curtain of water cascading from a lush cliff, creating a mesmerizing sight as it meets the rocks below. With approximately 30 waterfalls in its collection, the tallest of which stands at about 200 feet, Sinulom Falls is a must-see attraction for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike.

Surrounded by a verdant forest, Sinulom Falls offers a serene and charming setting. Unlike traditional waterfalls, it does not culminate in a large pool at the bottom; instead, its pristine waters flow directly into the Cagayan River, adding to the beauty of this natural oasis.

For the best vantage point, visitors can access Sinulom Falls from across the river, where a resort awaits. The resort provides platforms that offer stunning views of the majestic waterfall, perfect for capturing memorable photos. Additionally, guests can partake in the resort’s amenities, including a restaurant serving local delicacies, a refreshing cold spring swimming pool, and a designated campsite, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all.

Discovered by locals in the early 2000s, the waterfalls has steadily gained recognition as a prominent attraction in the region. The spring water that feeds the falls is cherished by locals for its purity, often regarded as safe for drinking. Intriguingly, the falls derive their name from the indigenous term for a species of black ants known as “Sulom.” According to local folklore, the falls earned this name due to the resemblance of people, akin to a trail of black ants, lining up to gather water during periods of drought, adding a fascinating layer of cultural significance to this natural marvel.

In summary, Sinulom Falls is an unspoiled beauty of nature, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in its beauty.
