Keep a record of your card details and customer service telephone numbers for reporting lost or stolen cards. Visa cardholders can call the toll-free Visa Global Customer Assistance Services (GCAS) number of the country you are traveling to, available on www.visa.com.
Exchange a Small Sum of Cash in Advance
Bring along just enough local currency for immediate small expenses such as taxi fares. If you need more cash, you can withdraw from ATMs at your destination.
