Igbaclag Cave in San Remegio, Antique

Igbaclag Cave, though not large in size, entices visitors with its distinctive features and natural allure. Explored in just 15 minutes, it unveils remarkable rock formations, narrow passages, and a steep exit for an adventurous experience. Caution is key as smooth rock surfaces with sharp edges demand careful navigation. Adorned with green vines bearing fruits, the cave is a harmonious blend of nature and geology.

Comprising two chambers, the larger one houses swiftlets, featuring narrow pathways leading to unexplored areas. The second chamber, known as Stone Castle, boasts tall limestone rocks forming a cliff. Inside, the “Balcony” and “Terrace” offer castle-like experiences with high ceilings and panoramic views, respectively.

Challenges arise during the rainy season, with slippery rocks and water drips, requiring careful footing. Despite this, the cold wind and lush greenery create a soothing atmosphere. Visitors must register at the tourism post, where knowledgeable guides accompany them not just to Icbaclag Cave but also to other captivating destinations.
