El Nido is a town or municipality in the province of Palawan. It is famous for its stunning natural attractions such as beaches, lagoons, cliffs, islets, and marine life. El Nido, Spanish for “The Nest”, got its name after the edible nest of the birds (swiftlets) found in the cliffs. These nests are an ingredient for the “nido” soup, a delicacy in Palawan.
With its white sand beaches, crystal clear water, and picturesque limestone cliffs, El Nido is a tropical paradise. Its most famous attractions include the Hidden Beach, Big Lagoon, and Small Lagoon, Snake Island, Taraw Cliffs, Makinit Hot Springs, and the Twin Beaches of Nacpan and Calitang.
There are island hopping tours in El Nido that will let you experience the wonders of this place. Most famous are the tours A, B, C and D. Tours A and C are the most recommended since these will take you to the most known attractions. A private tour using the travel route of one of the tours (A, B, C and D) is also possible if you or your group prefer to enjoy El Nido with less crowd.
